Support the renovation of our HQ:

Groundwork Indy has partnered with the City of Indianapolis to rehabilitate a historically significant firehouse that has stood vacant for 13 years. Groundwork Indy hopes to not only give new life to a
pillar of the community, but to find a permanent home for the organization.

GWI seeks donors to help make this project come to life. Examples of how you can help:

-$25,000 mini food pantry to serve the neighborhood                -$10,000 for lighting

-$30,000 to replace overhead doors                                             -$10,000 for cabinets and storage

Donate Time

There are several different volunteer opportunities with Groundwork Indy. Our current volunteer needs include the following:

Data Entry & Light Administrative Services 5-8 hours a week
Community Service Day Volunteers 4-6 hours a week
Grant Researcher 2-4 hours a week
Equipment Donations and Inventory 2-4 hours a week
Green Team Lunch Solicitation 2-4 hours a week

Donate Stuff

In-kind donations of the materials and equipment we need for our office and programs are greatly appreciated. Our wish-list includes the following:

  • Bike trailers for our fleet of Green Team bikes to transport tools and produce
  • Rubber Storage Totes (30 gallon and smaller)
  • Easy-up Tents (10 X 10)
  • Pickup Truck
  • Hose(s) & rack(s)
  • Hoes & sharpening files
  • Forks, pruners & shears
  • Trowels
  • Seeds, seedlings & seeding trays
